The Thakarki Trust AGM 2015

The Thakarki Trust 2^nd Annual General Meeting was held on 20 September 2015 at Park Avenue Gurdwara, Nuneaton.

The Committee

This year’s Sukhmani Sahib Paath was sponsored by a member of the congregation (govt parvaar) who wishes not to be named. Guru ka Langar was sponsored by Manjit Singh and Gurdish Kaur in memory of their father Sardar Tara Singh. The committee wishes to thank both parties for their generosity.

The meeting was opened by Chairman Gurmukh Singh and following the formalities the meeting was opened to the membership for their comments and suggestions.

2nd Annual General Meeting 20 Sept 2015

Main points:

Following the Sarpanch Sahib’s request for NRI assistance for a Panchayat Garh the committee asked the membership to pass the resolution. The membership approved the request. Members requested the committee to discuss the construction with Sarpanch Sahib for him to apply for a Punjab government grant with NRI support with a view to obtaining plans and costings as soon as possible and to obtain a start and completion date.

Members expressed concern about the shappar wall which had been demolished during the construction of the septic tank. Members requested TTT to apply for a grant with the co-operation of the Panchayat to construct a barrier as soon as possible.
