The funeral of Harbhajan Singh took place on 8 May 2018, in Bristol. Harbhajan Singh joined The Trust this year and although our acquaintance was short we can say that he enhanced himself by his calm, steadfast demeanour and action. Harbhajan Singh informed us that he grew up in Thakarki and he loved the village of his childhood. He was particularly impressed by the efforts of The Trust in continuing to be supportive of Thakarki village despite the obstacles such ventures experience and wished to become a member.
We believe he would have been a very valuable member of The Trust if time had allowed. In the brief time that the committee met him he demonstrated the poise that comes with experience and the balance of kindly wisdom. The news of his passing has come as a shock and we hope that he did not suffer and is at peace in the house of god. We offer our sincerest condolences and sympathy to Harbhajan Singhs family and friends.
